Basingstoke Area Youth Choir

The Choir has a wide repertoire of Contemporary Pop and Rock Music including lots of big pop hits old and new.

Members are aged between 9 and 18 years old. They come from Schools and Colleges in Basingstoke and surrounding area.

The Conductor is Emma Rosso an experienced singing teacher who specialises in Contemporary Rock and Pop Performance.

We perform at least three times per year and take centre stage at The Anvil in May.

The choir also performs with other choirs, and has perfomed at the Royal Albert Hall, which is the concert shown at the top of this webpage.

New members are always welcome. We provide the opportunity for young people to meet, sing together to develop their musical skills and gain confidence in their own abilities.

The Choir is run by Hampshire Music Hub a part of Hampshire Education Service.

Hampshire Music Service co-ordinates bands, ensembles, orchestras and choirs for children and young people, all over Hampshire. The service organises some 400 performances every year, which can range from small gatherings of musicians and their families, to large events in public venues such as Winchester Cathedral, The Anvil and even The Royal Albert Hall. The service also supports schools to provide quality music tuition and affordable instrument hire to pupils.

Hampshire Music Service charges a fee for Ensemble Membership, which during the school year 2021-2022,  is £35 per term and for County Ensemble Membership is £45 per term. If your child belongs to more than one ensemble you will only pay one fee.
